East Point Academy is a public school that is part of the state's public school system but is classified as a charter school because it is allowed to set critical achievement standards at or above existing public schools. East Point Academy is a small learning community,
starting with approximately 120 students in grades 4 year-old pre-school*, Kindergarten**, First and Second

Although we have not opened yet and do not have any data to show our performance, the charter has been carefully written, reviewed and approved by the South Carolina Charter School District.  The language immersion approaches are based on research based, effective educational practices. With this instructional model and the commitment and involvement of our partners, volunteers and parents, we do expect high academic performance and students who will achieve profiency in both English and Chinese.

The site is located at 1340 Knox Abbott Drive, Cayce 29033.  It is currently undergoing renovations and will be completed by Aug. 1, 2011. Please note that we anticipate adding additional space in the future as we grow in student enrollment each year.
