Mrs. Mitchell is an experienced kindergarten teacher who is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has twelve years of teaching experience in public and private schools Sumter and Columbia.  She has continued her post-undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina and received three years of additional training through the South Carolina Reading Initiative. She is passionate about the importance of a strong foundation in reading as key to academic success. She has four children, two of which attend East Point Academy.  Mrs. Mitchell is currently continuing her education at Liberty University where she is persuing her Master's Degre in Educational Administration
